(translation of Mei and Sayagaki: Miyamoto Kanenori, Imperial Household Artist, made this sword at the age of 80 on a lucky day of August in Meiji 42 for Mr. Nagaoka.)

From Aoi Art: Miyamoto Kanenori, Imperial Household Artist, has made this blade for the order of Mr. Nagaoka. He engraved a really nice inscription despite his age.
