Era: Around the Eikyo era, the Muromachi period
Shape: Katateuchi(one-handed) Wakizashi with Sori and longer Kissaki. Kurikara-dragon and Dokko are engraved on the back side but it was carved afterwards.
Jigane: Mokumehada is very dense to be elaborate Jigane.
Hamon: Niedeki Gunomemidare with soft Ashi. Boshi is Midare with sharp tip and ends with Yakisage.

Special feature: Bishu Osafune Michimitsu started from Meiou era and lasted to Eikyo, Eisei, and Eiroku era. However, this Boshi is Midare with sharp tip and Mokumehada is very beautiful. So, this blade has to be a little bit older. This Jigane is as good as Morimitsu around the Ouei era. Tsuruta thinks that this “Un”(運) means luck and the swordsmith engraved this character to wish for luck. There is some Machiokuri but it has　Ubu Nakago so there is no problem with appreciation. We truly recommend this nice and one-handed Wakizashi with beautiful Jigane in good condition.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Tatemaru-shaped Shakudo Tsuba.
Fuchi: Shakudo plate. Hishaku is engraved with gold color.
Kashira: made of Tsuno
Saya: Black Roiro Saya
Menuki: Shakudo plate. Chrysanthemum is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Bishu Osafune Michimitsu is a rare swordsmith and its style is similar to Ouei Bizen, beautiful Jigane and soft Gunomemidare Hamon. This blade has Kurikara-dragon and Dokko carvings with character “Un”. Koshirae is not quite beautiful but it is well-made. We truly recommend this to you.
