Shape: The blade is slightly broad and thick with adequate Sori and longer Kissaki.
Jigane: Koitamehada is very dense, Hizen Jigane. There is Umegane on Ji.
Hamon: Niedeki Gunome Chojimidare with lots of Ashi. Boshi is Notare and turns back with Kinsuji.

Special feature: Hizen Kuni Kawachi Daijo Fujiwara Masahiro generally
makes Hamon that looks like cumulonimbus in a summer sky, but in this blade,
probably he made smaller Hamon to engrave Hi. Umetada Shigeyoshi is supposed
to be a pupil of Umetada family. The blade is polished well. In many swords
of Hizen 1st had carvings by Umetada Akitoshi. And later, many pupils
of him had done carving to many swords. We have some Shigeyoshi in Edo
or Kyoto, but in the early Edo period, there was a person
who named Shigeyoshi Shichizaemon, who was a skilled metalsmith
and did many sword carving. This person could be Umetada Shigeyoshi.
