This sword belongs to ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki: Copper single Habaki with althea family crest engraving and gold color.
Blade length:72.7cm or 28.62 inches.
Sori:2.3cm or 0.90 inches.
Mekugi:2
Width at the hamachi:3.0cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki:2.45 cm or 0.96 inches.
Kasane:0.65cm or 0.25inches.
The weight of the sword:805grams.
Era: The Nanbokucho period.
Shape: Osuriage Mumei Katana, wide and thick blade with deep Sori.
There are Bo-Hi on both side of the blade. The Kissaki is O-Kissaki. The blade is heavy and healthy.
Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
There are Chikei and Utsuri. The Jigane is clear.
Hamon: Ko Nie Deki and Nioi Deki, Choji Midare. Gunome Midare base,
Choji-Ba, square shape Ha, and pointed shape Ha with Ashi and Yo.
There are faint Sunagashi in the Ha. The Nioikuchi is bright.
Boshi is Notare and Midare style and round shape.

Special feature: It is said that Kencho was a student of Osafune Nagayoshi.　
His blades are almost Mumei. And his blades with signature are very rare.
His blades are very similar to Nagayoshi’s.
But some of his blades are more conspicuous Soshuden style than Nagayoshi.
