Special feature: Hayama Enshin was born in Koka 2. His real name was Suzuki Masahiro and lived in Shitaya, Edo and made swords. He learned from Suzuki Masao in Edo. That is why his Nakago is shaped a little bit different from the other swordsmiths. He became very famous because he succeeded in making sharp swords from Tamahagane and Swedish iron. This work has blackish Jigane like Yamashiroden. He had to be influenced by Kiyomaro. We truly recommend this to you.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: 8 Mokko-shaped iron Tsuba with openwork. Owari-style
Fuchi: Shakudo plate. Flowers and mushrooms are engraved with gold color.
Kashira: Plum trees and mushrooms are engraved with gold color.

Menuki: Shakudo plate. Small animals are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: As a clansman of Toyohashi Domain, he made Omura Masujiro’s sword. He always tried to make sharp swords and challenged to make swords with Swedish iron. Jigane is blackish and clean. Mune is rounded. It is a very well-made sword. This Koshirae is supposed to be made in the same era when the sword was made. Nakago’s shape is Kiji-Momo shape: very unique shape of Koto.
