Era: Around the Meireki era, the Edo period
Shape: The blade shape is similar to Nanki Shigekuni and Nakago hole is big. The blade is slightly broad and thick with adequate Sori and Chu Kissaki.
Jigane: Koitamehada is dense and beautiful.
Hamon: Suguhadeki with lots of Koashi and deep Nioikuchi. Boshi turns back round and becomes Hakikake.

Special feature: Monju Shigekuni means swordsmiths after the 2nd generation of Nanki Shigekuni, which are always judged as Monju.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Brass plate. Waves and birds are engraved. The rim stands up.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo plate. Patterns are engraved.
Saya: Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki: Shakudo plate. Bird is engraved.
Kozuka: A farmer on a horse is engraved.
Kogata: Mei- Kazuhide Saku.
