Special feature: Kusano Yoshiaki is originally from Inaba and became a pupil of Gassan Sadayoshi. Unfortunately, he quitted swordsmith because of the Haito Edict. It is very disappointing because he was such a great swordsmith. A work made in Meiji 2 is left. Perhaps he was making swords with swordsmiths like Sadakazu.

From Aoi Art: The blade is really thick: Yodoidoshi work. Tanto is made in the Muromachi period at most, and the number of production decreased drastically in the Edo period. But in the late Edo period, Bakumatsu, faction-fighting concerning the political ideas occurred and gradually Tanto started to be made again. Especially, this Yodoidoshi is very rare for that era and we can recommend to you. If it were no Haito Edict, he would be much more famous and popular.
