The blade was polished.
Blade length : 66.2cm or 26.06inches.
Sori : 0.8cm or 0.31inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.04cm or 1.19inches.
Width at the Kissaki :2.21 cm or 0.87inches.
Kasane : 0.66cm or 0.25inches.
The weight of the sword 700 grams
Era : The Kanbun era, the Edo period.
Shape : Suriage. There are Bohi on the both sides.
Jigane : Koitamehada is really dense. Elaborate Jigane.
Hamon :Niedeki, big Gunomemidare. Koashi works well in Hachu. Hamon looks like a scenery of the ocean with big waves.

Special feature: It was originally over 70cm long and after Suriage and Machiokuri, Bohi was engraved to the blade. It means that this sword was too long and heavy for a person, and it was shortened and lightened.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round-shaped iron Tsuba. Karigane bird is engraved with openwork. A leg of Karigane is broken.
Fuchikashira: Iron plate. Arabesque is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Black Saya with Shu red color.
Menuki: Shakudo plate. Shoki(ogre) is engraved with gold color.

This work has no critical flaws or defects: wonderful work which can remind us of Yasutsugu swords. Koshirae is also a nice work with good fittings which remind us of Edo Higo works. Especially, Menuki is a great piece of art with Shoki pattern with gold color. We truly recommend this one to you.
