Hoju was one of the school from people called Maikusa. They influenced lots of swordsmiths and Ko Hoki school is said to be strongly influenced among them.

From Aoi Art: This work has deep Sori and clear Shinogiji. It has to be made at oldest from the Kamakura period, to the Kamakura period at earliest. It seems it used to be Nagamaki, it is 80cm long and looks gorgeous with marvelous body shape. Blueish Jigane is wonderful without fatal flaws. We truly recommend this to you.
