Kasane : 0.58cm or 0.22inches.

Era : The late Muromachi period
Shape : The blade is normally broad and thick with Sori and longer Kissaki. Well-shaped.
Jigane : Itamehada mixed with Masamehada. Jigane is blackish and has Shirakeutsuri.
Hamon : Koniedeki Suguha is bright with soft Ashi and Yo. Boshi turns back largely.

Special feature: Sayagaki says that Sanetada is a swordsmith from Hyuga, a son of Sanemasa, and this work was made in Tensho 9. It also says that his name is Nisshu Furuya Ju Sanetada. This Sayagaki is supposed to be correct. This sword looks very old and reminds us of Jitsua from Kyushu. But Mei is engraved on the front so it could be a little later, but is still well-made.

From Aoi Art: This Mei is Katana-Mei, so we think it is made in the late Muromachi period, but Jigane is too beautiful for that age. Moreover, Utsuri appears and Hamon is really nice. We truly recommend this to everyone who loves old works. It has no fatal flaws or defects.
