Habaki: Gold foiled single Habaki.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 29.0cm or 11.41 inches.
Sori : 0.0cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.9cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.1cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.27 inches.

Era : Late Edo period, Ansei 3rd February.
Shape : Kanmuri Otoshi style, sharp, wide and thick sword.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well grained, Jinie attached beautiful Jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki deep Nioikuchi Gunome-Midare then round Nioikuchi thick Suguha.

Special feature: Teruyoshi is sword smith of Kawagoe clan and is a student of Hosokawa Masayoshi. He also is a Samurai, his start to
make sword around Kaei period. He engrave Sakura flower to Nakago some time. Some his Wakizashi and Katana( about 7 swords) was deceived as cultural treasure of Kawagoe city.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Mokko style iron plate. Mimi is Tachiage. Shellfish is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Copper plate, Ocean and waves are engraved with gold color.
Saya: Kawari-Nuri style.
Menuki: Shakudo plate, boar is engraved.
Kojiri: Shibuichi plate. Ocean is engraved.
Kozuka: Shakudo Nanako plate. Ocean and birds are engraved.
Kogatana: Has Mei as Bizen Osafune Ju Yokoyama Sukenaga.

From Aoi Art: Rare Kanmuri Otoshi style sword. Deep Nioikuchi thick Suguha also worked on Shinogi side. The Koshirae is very old so we think it was made with the sword.
