Special feature: Yamato Daijo Fujiwara Masanori is said to be a descendant of Yamashiro Kuni Sanjo Yoshinori in the mid Muromachi period. He was originally from Tango Miyatsu. His father, Norimitsu, had taught him how to make swords. Later he moved to Kyoto, and next moved to Echizen, where ruled by Matsudaira Hideyasu. Later he was employed by the first son of Hideyasu, Tadanao. It is not certain when he had succeeded to the Yamato Daijo, but we have 2 Wakizashi which were made in Nov. of Keicho 13 and Genna 2, with Juryo-mei(signature with the name Yamato Daijo). He flourished in Echizen in the almost same age as Yasutsugu the 1st had flourished.
